Hazrat Aminah bint Wahab bin Abde Munaf, (may Allah be pleased with her), Mother of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was the best woman in the clan of Quraish in the terms of parentage and status. She was the most intelligent and eloquent.
She was nurtured by her uncle wuhaib bin Abde Munaf. Hazrat Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib married her and she became pregnant with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Hazrat Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) traveled to Ghazza for a trade, and while he was returning, he fell ill and died in Madinah. After his demise, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was born in her house. She continued to go to Madinah and visit his grave and visit uncles of her father there and return.
In her one visit, she fell ill and died in the place of “Al Abwa’a” between Makkah and Madinah, in 45 BH, 575 CE, and then her son Muhammad (peace be upon him) was only six years old.
